Once again, the IFA, Europe’s biggest exhibition for Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances, takes place in Berlin. With everything from giant flat screens to the tiniest TV mobile phones, from mobile media players to complete home cinema – IFA presented fascinating highlights from every area of entertainment. An interlinked network of 26 fair halls covering a display area of 160,000 m².
Now everyone is talking about new releases, inventions and technologies. I decided to give you some information about their new products but also a look at the fascinating decorated exhibition halls.
Sony‘s products were placed around a big main hall, in the middle you could chill and watch their laser show on six big screens. Sony came up with their new 10 frames per second Cybershot, an advanced live view for SLR cameras the PS3 in 3D, the new BRAVIA Mode, HD camcorders and a couple of small things like electronic picture frames.
Panasonic‘s newest invention was their Full HD 3D technology, shown in a 7 minute demonstration with a trailer of James Cameron’s newest movie Avatar at the end. The whole hall was decorated in blue and purple (like a jungle) and of cause with a lot of new TV models, camcorders and photo cameras.
The best thing in LG’s product line is the new Borderless TV and I think the Asian Market thinks the same:
LG’s hall was bright an open, a lot of TVs hanging on the wall with the main event, the big Borderless-TV Show.
SAMSUNG‘s hall was stunning, a combination of LCD displays and mirrors, constructed on the entrance. Nobody could pass this masterpiece of art without standing there for about 5-10 minutes to watch the show.
Do you need a new haircut or to shave your beard? No problem! Phillips‘ hall was a testing ground for their new products. Everything from hair straightener to shaver, electric toothbrushes, coffee machines, telephones and of cause, the new Aurea 2009.
But that’s not all, over 1000 exhibitors presented their products to the mass.
Canon showed a now water- and dust-proof Powershot, a new printer and the D5 MII with their whole assortment of lenses.
