Danbo is here!

I bought a Danbo from amazon.co.jp the Japanese version of Amazon. I wanted to test how long it would take to send a package from Japan to Berlin and I was pretty surprised after it arrived in less than 2 weeks, considering that I have to wait up to 5 days to get something from amazon.de.

Danbo is the anime figure Miura Hayasaka in a cardboard box suit from the Japanese manga series Yotsuba&!. The plastic figure, from the Revoltech line by the company Kaiyodo, has movable joints, light up eyes and stands around 8cm tall.

Also Heroes Have Bad Days…

A Superman I’ve never seen before, his face rammed into the ground, blood drops all over the place… the text behind him on the wall reads “also Heroes have bad Days…“.

The sculpture by the German artist Marcus Wittmers in front of the Jewish Museum Berlin is part of the current exhibition “Heroes, Freaks and Superrabbis: The Jewish Dimension of the Comic.

With all these snowstorms recently, it’s not a good idea to let your bike outside. A little bit more snow and it will be hard to find it again. This could be really annoying if you have an important appointment.

I heard something about Climate Change and Global Warming, but when I look outside my window, it’s an Ice Age out there. After 4 weeks, the snow is still there, the temperature has raised up to -5°C (23°F) so it’s not so cold anymore.

Stormtrooper spotted at Brandenburg Gate

There is always something interesting going on in front of the Brandenburg Gate. Yesterday, I saw a Stormtrooper, standing around, watching the crowds. It’s not quite clear what he was up to, because as I asked him, he only gave me the answer “move along citizen, there’s nothing to see here”.

Maybe he is a fan of the famous Tokyo Dance Trooper, maybe the Imperial Invasion is near, who knows.
