The Lucky One German Premiere Berlin

The Sony Center – Potsdamer Platz was filled with screams from the excited audience today at the German Premiere of the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ The Lucky One after Zac Efron together with Taylor Schilling and Nicholas Sparks himself left their cars to walk the red carpet in Berlin.

The Movie, directed by Scott Hicks, is about Logan Thibault (Zac Efron), a U.S. Marine who returns to Colorado from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with the one thing he credits with keeping him alive—a photograph he found of a woman (Beth (Taylor Schilling)) he doesn’t even know. After his return from Iraq, lost after his near death experiences, he walks to Louisiana from Colorado to find this woman who he credits for saving him.

Nicholas Sparks is now a worldwide phenomenon, his 18 books reached more than $80-million in sales, seven of them were turned into Hollywood movies.

The Hunger Games German Premiere Berlin

Right now, The Hunger Games Movie (ger: Die Tribute von Panem) is all over the internet and after its premieres in Los Angeles and London, today, Berlin was the next stop on their list for the German Premiere at Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz with Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks and of course director Gary Ross.

The Hunger Games is originally a young adult novel written by Suzanne Collins and now, a film adaptation, co-written and co-produced by Collins herself and directed by Gary Ross, will hit the big screen on March 21/22/23, 2012. The Story is set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but I definitely will watch it after it got some pretty good critics from fans from around the world.

Berlinale 2012, The Iron Lady German Premiere

Another Day, another premiere, another Star, Meryl Streep was attending the German Premiere of The Iron Lady, a film about the life of Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, for which she won a best actress BAFTA award in London two days ago, beside the golden globe she received for the same role earlier this year. She is also nominated for her third Oscar on February 26.

The premiere was hold today at the Berlinale Palast – Potsdamer Platz, with hundreds of fans, singing and cheering for their beloved actress.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo German Premiere

Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara were in Berlin today at Sony Center – Potzdamer Platz, for the German Premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (the German title for this Movie is Verblendung which means something like blindness or delusion).

The Movie (directed by David Fincher, known for his movies Fight Club, Se7en or Social Network) is about the Journalist Mikael Blomkvist and the computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, who are searching for a woman who has been missing, or dead, for forty years. The book, written by Stieg Larsson,was one of the best selling novels of the 20th-Century.

Puss in Boots German Premiere Berlin

Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and director Chris Miller walked the red carpet today at Sony Center Berlin to promote their newest Movie, Puss in Boots (Ger: Der gestiefelte Kater).

Puss in boots (Antonio Banderas), known from the famous “Shrek” series got his own Movie which tells the story of a little cat who tries to escape an orphanage with his friends Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek) by stealing golden eggs from a castle in the sky.

Twilight Breaking Dawn German Premiere Berlin

Today was a special day for Team Edward and Team Jacob, the German Premiere of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 at Sony Center in Berlin with Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon, unfortunately without co-star Kristen Stewart. About 3.000 screaming young (and not so young) girls had the chance to get an autograph or to take a picture with their beloved actor.

Cowboys & Aliens German Premiere Berlin

Today was another German premiere, Cowboys & Aliens, at CineStar Sony Center in Berlin. This time with director Jon Favreau, good old Harrison Ford, James Bond-Star Daniel Craig and the lovely Olivia Wilde.

The whole place was filled with people and all three actors (and the director) had a lot of fun signing autographs and taking photos with their fans. After that, they gave a couple of interviews to the different TV-Stations before they finally went in through the great cinema entrance.
