The year 2012 is almost over and it was amazing, with lots of movie premieres, fairs, flash mobs and of course, events. Many stars and artists visited Berlin, we celebrated the 775th anniversary and st patrick’s day, the new airport got delayed till 2013, the earth hour took place again this year and the Coca Cola Christmas Trucks were back in town.
But that’s not all, I’ve listed up some of the most interesting articles from the previous 12 months, so if you’ve missed something, take a look, some of these events will be back in 2013 and some of them will never happen again. But whatever happens in 2013, I wish you all the best and stay frosty!

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon walked the carpet signing autographs.
I should have learned from last year, going to a Twilight Premiere, with taking pictures in mind, without having an accreditation to access the almighty press area is.. a war, a war against thousands of screaming, almost crying, fans that camped for up to 18 hours to get the best spot to meet their beloved actors.
Somehow I survived… and I also managed to take some pictures to describe the event.
Another German Premiere took place in Berlin, CLOUD ATLAS (ger: Der Wolkenatlas), with Tom Hanks and Halle Berry together with Hugo Weaving, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, the directors Tom Tykwer and Andy & Lana Wachowskiand, plus the producers Stefan Arndt and Grant Hill. So this time, the red carpet was filled with celebrities.
CLOUD Atlas is a science fiction drama movie adaptation from the 2004 novel of the same name by David Mitchell. It is, with a budget of $102 million, one of the most expensive independent films of all time and the most expensive German movie production ever made. The movie was filmed in Studio Babelsberg in Germany near Berlin.

The Movie plays in Istanbul where CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter in Paris. The Movie is therefor a sequel of the in 2008 released movie Taken and will be released in Germany on October 11th, 2012.
The 2012 remake of the 1990 released movie Total Recall had its German Premier today in Berlin at Sony Center Potsdamer Platz with Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and director Len Wiseman.
The movie is about the factory worker, Douglas Quaid, who begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall, a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led. Also, the story does not include a trip to Mars.
So, I wouldn’t say it’s a complete remake, the story is based on the 1966 short story written by Philip K. Dick with a few similarities.
