Fascinating and informative, BODY WORLDS “Körperwelten” is back in Berlin with its newest exhibition, “The Story of a Heart”. More than 32 million people have seen this exhibition so far, featuring a unique collection of over 200 authentic human specimens including whole-body plastinates, organs and translucent body slices.

The BODY WORLDS exhibitions are first-of-their-kind exhibitions through which visitors learn about anatomy, physiology, and health by viewing real human bodies, using an extraordinary process called Plastination a groundbreaking method for specimen preservation invented by Dr. von Hagens in 1977.

The exhibition was held till the 14th of August 2011 at Postbahnhof / Berlin Ostbahnhof, Straße der Pariser Kommune 8.

Even Popeye deserves to be honored, that was probably the thought of this artist who sprayed the famous Sailor in his usual gesture.

Graffiti is a part of Berlin. During my time in this city, I see many interesting and well painted artworks. Today we have DC Comic’s Flash painted on a wall near Berlin’s Ostbahnhof right beside the East Side Gallery.

Tomorrow is a big day, the City of Berlin will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

For that reason, the big East Side Gallery was repaired and repainted. The Berlin Wall East Side Gallery is a 1.3km-long section of the wall near the center of Berlin. Approximately 106 paintings by artists from all over the world cover this memorial for freedom and make it the largest open air gallery in the world.

The Gallery tells with its pictures the story of Berlin and Germany’s history. Many artists were invited to repaint their pictures which were created about twenty years ago. The paintings and the wall were in an extremely deteriorated condition through weather, air pollution, vandalistic collectors, and simply time.

The East Side Gallery is located near the Ostbahnhof.

The Modellbahnverband in Deutschland e.V. ( German Model Railway Society ) staged an exhibition, to celebrate his 15th anniversary.

It was fascinating to see those little trains driving through a really beautiful created world of snow, woods and mountains. A journey through the Alps, the United States, Germany and even a time travel to Berlin after the Second World War.
