Sometimes, a simple sand castle isn’t enough. “City of the Future” – Yesterday, the 2. United Sand Festival, Germany’s biggest and most established sand sculpture festival came to its end. Over 2,000 tons of sand were used to create 18 fragile sculptures of up to 8 metres in height.

2009 World Championships in Athletics

Today the opening Ceremony for the World Athletics Championships 2009 was held at the Brandenburg Gate. Starting tomorrow the world championschips will officially begin and for the next week, contestens will do their best in 24 disciplines.
