For the fist time, the “Giant Kites Festival” was held Saturday on the Tempelhof Airport in Berlin. Visitors had the chance to watch some really huge (20m wide and 40m long) kites floating above the Tempelhofer Field and because is was the windiest day of the year, many visitors had brought their own kites too.

STROKE N°7 took place in Berlin, artists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, Spain and many more countries around the world joined their forces to represent Urban Art as an emerging global postmodern art development without any attitudes or academic prejudices. From painting to streetart, graffiti, illustration or photography the URBAN ART FAIR represented finest in Urban Art.
The young international art scene came to Berlin to celebrate the capitals reputation as electric breeding ground for young emerging art and its corresponding lifestyle. New this year, ANIMAX and URBAN ART FAIR cooperated and brought the aesthetics of anime “on stage” during the fair.
Liam Neeson and director Olivier Megaton were attending today’s Taken 2 (ger: 96 Hours – Taken 2) German Premiere in Berlin, this time at the Kulturbrauerei (Culture Brewery) in Prenzlauer Berg.
The Movie plays in Istanbul where CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter in Paris. The Movie is therefor a sequel of the in 2008 released movie Taken and will be released in Germany on October 11th, 2012.
Again this year, the International Electronics Fair ( IFA ) took place in Berlin, with the world’s leading tech companies presenting their newest products in 26 fair halls to hundreds of thousands of visitors. New this year, TEDxBerlin was held simultaneously at Berlin’s exhibition center as part of this year’s electronics week.
