First of all, for everyone who has never heard about Berlin, here is a little Wikipedia quote for you:

Berlin is the capital city and one of 16 states of Germany. With a population of 3.4 million people, Berlin is Germany’s largest city. It is the second most populous city proper and the eighth most populous urban area in the European Union.

Ok, let us start.

BerlinSidewalk is a little project of mine I started in 2009 as a part of my studies in Photojournalism. The City of Berlin, marked by a “dark history”, has evolved and transformed into a unique and dynamic metropolis, 20 years after the fall of the Wall.

Walking through Berlin will show you many interesting and exciting things you wouldn’t see anywhere else, beautiful art, freaky people, events, festivals and much more.

I think that’s the main reason I started this Blog, to provide you with the latest news, about all these events and festivals and the daily life from and in the Capital City of Germany.

My name is Carsten, I’m a photojournalism student, I was born in Berlin and I live and work here now for more than twenty years.
