Star Wars Identities Cologne

Star Wars Identities, the original Star Wars Exhibition traveling around the globe, was held at the Odysseum in Cologne. Over 200 original Star Wars costumes, models, props, and pieces of artwork were exhibited to discover up close (many of them for the first time) and a unique interactive identity quest allowed you to design your own Star Wars Hero.

R2-D2, Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon, Anakin’s full-sized Podracer and other favorites, like Yoda, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Princess Leia, Stormtroopers, and Darth Vader, the collection features all six Star Wars movies as well as the ongoing television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

GamesCom 2015

In 2015, the world’s biggest trade fair for interactive games and entertainment, the GamesCom, got even bigger, with 345.000 visitors from from 96 countries and took place in Cologne, from 05. – 09. August 2015.

World Press Photo Exhibition Berlin 2015

On its tour around the globe, the the World Press Photo exhibition took place from 5 June to 28 June 2015 at the Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin, celebrating its 60th anniversary and featuring over 100 award-winning photographs in 8 different categories.

This year, World Press Photo received 97912 pictures from 5692 photographers around the world.

Berlin Street Art – Project M/7

Iranian Stencil Artists Icy And Sot created a new Mural, a Portrait of an unknown girl from Brooklyn to the people of Berlin, as part of the new Project, M/7 „Persons of interest” by Brooklyn Street Art and Urban Nation at Bülowstraße 7 in Berlin.

The 176 piece stencil had taken about 10 days for them to cut back in Brooklyn and the brothers methodically sprayed their missive to Berlin’s people over the course of 5 more days. This, their largest mural ever, was enormous and peaceful and an incredible act of discipline, determination, and dedication to teamwork.” –BSA

GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2014

Every year, the Society of German Nature Photographers (Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen – GDT) invites professional and non-professional photographers from all over Europe to join the European Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

The competition aims to illustrate the high quality and specific style of European wildlife photography through excellent pictures from Europe and all over the world. It also seeks to promote awareness for nature conservation through the means of photography.

Right now, the winners of the 2014 Photo Contest can be seen at Berlin’s Central Station from 10.03. – 19.03.2015.

Berlinale 2015, Fifty Shades of Grey World Premiere

Fifty Shades of Grey, the first installment in the Fifty Shades trilogy, celebrated its movie premiere today, February 11, during the International Film Festival, the Berlinale 2015.

E.L. James, author of the 2011 erotic romance novel and Sam Taylor-Johnson director of the 2015 movie adaption, together with her husband Aaron Taylor-Johnson as well as main actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson walked the carpet in front of the Zoo Palast in Berlin.
