Best of Berlin 2012

The year 2012 is almost over and it was amazing, with lots of movie premieres, fairs, flash mobs and of course, events. Many stars and artists visited Berlin, we celebrated the 775th anniversary and st patrick’s day, the new airport got delayed till 2013, the earth hour took place again this year and the Coca Cola Christmas Trucks were back in town.

But that’s not all, I’ve listed up some of the most interesting articles from the previous 12 months, so if you’ve missed something, take a look, some of these events will be back in 2013 and some of them will never happen again. Coca Cola Christmas Truck Tour 2012


The Coca Cola Christmas Trucks were in town, and it was, kind of a disappointment (compared to the years 2009 and 2010). In fact, it was only one truck, placed on a, what I call, a carnival and not a Christmas market, between a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster. But after they completely skipped the last year, it was at least something.

Coca Cola Christmas Truck Tour 2009

Like every year, the Coca Cola Christmas Trucks were on a tour through every major city in Germany and the final parade was held in Berlin yesterday. Ten trucks with four stages and a snack bar to buy Bratwurst and Glühwein against the cold.

With -16°C (3.2°F) and heavy snowfall, it was the coldest day of the year. But that was not a real problem and thousands of people were following the parade on its way from the Kurfürstendamm, via the Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburger Tor to its final goal, the Rote Rathaus Berlin.
