World War Z German Premiere Berlin

World War Z, the apocalyptic horror movie directed by Marc Forster and written by Matthew Michael Carnahan celebrated its German-Premiere today in Berlin.

The Movie tells the story of a zombie pandemic, which spreads across the globe, threatening to destroy humanity itself.

Brad Pitt, of course together with Angelina Jolie (who celebrated her 38th birthday today), and the German-Swiss director Marc Foster walked the carpet through the Sony Center at Potsdamer Platz.

Star Trek Into Darkness German Premiere Berlin

Today was the German Premiere for the upcoming Sequel to J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek Saga: Star Trek Into Darkness, in the middle of the Sony Center in Berlin.

It was the biggest German Premiere so far and after the cast (Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Alice Eve, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg) discovered the city of Berlin over the weekend, they walked the black carpet together with director J.J. Abrams, cheered by hundreds of screaming fans.

A Good Day to Die Hard World Premiere Berlin

Yippee ki-yay, M*th*rf*ck*r, it’s a good day to die hard.

Two days before the official start of the Berlinale 2013, the world premiere of A good Day to Die Hard (ger: Stirb langsam – Ein guter Tag zum Sterben) took place in Berlin. Jai Courtney (who plays John McClane son Jack), the German actor Sebastian Koch (who plays the Russian Komarov) and the one and only Bruce Willis together with his wife Emma Heming-Willis walked the carpet in the middle of the Sony Center, surrounded by hundreds of screaming fans.

Django Unchained German Premiere Berlin

This German Movie Premiere was different, for the first time, the director was as famous as the cast itself. Quentin Tarantino’s newest Movie Django Unchained celebrated its German Premiere today, of course, at the Sony Center Potsdamer Platz in Berlin.

The American western tells the story about a freed slave who treks across America together with a bounty hunter, on a mission to rescue his wife.

Quentin Tarantino himself was present, together with Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington. Leonardo DiCaprio was absent due to an urgent appointment.

Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 German Premiere

So the German Red Black Carpet Premiere of the last Twilight Movie, Breaking Dawn Part 2 (ger: Breaking Dawn – Bis(s) zum Ende der Nacht: Teil 2), took place in Berlin today Friday 16th, 2012. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and director Bill Condon walked the carpet signing autographs.

I should have learned from last year, going to a Twilight Premiere, with taking pictures in mind, without having an accreditation to access the almighty press area is.. a war, a war against thousands of screaming, almost crying, fans that camped for up to 18 hours to get the best spot to meet their beloved actors.

Somehow I survived… and I also managed to take some pictures to describe the event.

CLOUD ATLAS German Premiere Berlin

Another German Premiere took place in Berlin, CLOUD ATLAS (ger: Der Wolkenatlas), with Tom Hanks and Halle Berry together with Hugo Weaving, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, the directors Tom Tykwer and Andy & Lana Wachowskiand, plus the producers Stefan Arndt and Grant Hill. So this time, the red carpet was filled with celebrities.

CLOUD Atlas is a science fiction drama movie adaptation from the 2004 novel of the same name by David Mitchell. It is, with a budget of $102 million, one of the most expensive independent films of all time and the most expensive German movie production ever made. The movie was filmed in Studio Babelsberg in Germany near Berlin.

The German Premiere of Skyfall, the newest Movie of the James Bond franchise, took place yesterday, Tuesday 30th, at the Potsdamer Platz Theater in Berlin with James Bond actor Daniel Craig, bond girl Bérénice Marlohe, director Sam Mendes and producer Barbara Broccoli.

96 Hours – Taken 2 German Premiere Berlin

Liam Neeson and director Olivier Megaton were attending today’s Taken 2 (ger: 96 Hours – Taken 2) German Premiere in Berlin, this time at the Kulturbrauerei (Culture Brewery) in Prenzlauer Berg.

The Movie plays in Istanbul where CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter in Paris. The Movie is therefor a sequel of the in 2008 released movie Taken and will be released in Germany on October 11th, 2012.

Total Recall German Premiere Berlin

The 2012 remake of the 1990 released movie Total Recall had its German Premier today in Berlin at Sony Center Potsdamer Platz with Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and director Len Wiseman.

The movie is about the factory worker, Douglas Quaid, who begins to suspect that he is a spy after visiting Rekall, a company that provides its clients with implanted fake memories of a life they would like to have led. Also, the story does not include a trip to Mars.

So, I wouldn’t say it’s a complete remake, the story is based on the 1966 short story written by Philip K. Dick with a few similarities.

The Amazing Spider-Man German Premiere Berlin

The newest reboot of the Spider-Man series, The Amazing Spider-Man, celebrated its German premiere today in Berlin.

The Movie is the first one of 3 planed movies about the new Peter Parker played by Andrew Garfield which was present today in Berlin together with Emma Stone who plays Gwen Stacy (Spider-Man’s girlfriend before he started dating Mary-Jane Watson) and Rhys Ifans who plays Dr. Curt Connors or “The Lizard”.

The new movie is about the young Peter and the search for his father who disappeared when he was young. After discovering a mysterious briefcase belonging to his father, he finds his father’s former partner, Dr. Curtis Connors, a one-armed scientist who tries to restore his lost arm, but something goes terribly wrong.
