Freddie Mercury Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds Berlin

Freddie Mercury is in town and for the next 3 month, you can meet him at Madame Tussauds Berlin, right beside Peter Maffay, Madonna and Bono.

Freddie Mercury was a British musician, best known as the lead vocalist and a songwriter of the rock band Queen. The wax figure, which was created in 1989 for the cabinet in London, before he died in 1991, was moved to Berlin to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the band and the 65th birthday of Freddy Mercury himself.

Jewish Memorial Berlin


The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe or Holocast Memorial is a construction which was build on 1st April in 2003, well let’s say they began to build it, because the last stelae was erected on 15th December in 2004.

The Memorial, which contains 2,711 stelaes, covers a vast area of 19.000 m² and can be found near the Brandenburger Tor in the middle of Berlin.

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the centre of Berlin is Germany’s central Holocaust memorial site, a place for remembrance and commemoration of six million victims. The Memorial consists of the Field of Stelae designed by architect Peter Eisenman and the underground Information Centre and is maintained by a Federal Foundation.

Berlinale 2011, The Exhibition

Berlinale 2011 is over. During the last week 18 young photographers received the opportunity to experience working as professional photojournalists to show us this years Berlinale through their eyes, or should I say, through their cameras?

All the works were gathered at the C/O Berlin gallery and Dieter Kosslick himself opened the exhibition “Close Up!”.

Lady Gaga Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds Berlin

A wax figure of pop idol Lady Gaga was unveiled today at Madame Tussauds in Berlin and simultaneously, in seven other cities across the globe.

The figures, each dressed differently in celebration of the star’s provocative style, were created over four months in West London, with each one costing £150,000.

A Giant’s Tale, The Reunion – Day 2

Today on Reunification Day in Berlin, the Deep Sea Diver appeared out of the Humboldtbecken near the Hauptbahnhof.

Surrounded by enthusiastic spectators, this deep sea diver dripping with water has set off across the Moltke Bridge and through the government quarter in search of his niece.

Uncle and niece are searching each other, walking though the western and eastern part of Berlin. They got separated many years ago and maybe, they will find each other today.
