Pictoplasma Berlin


Pictoplasma is the world’s leading festival of contemporary character culture and it’s taking place in Berlin right now with numerous exhibitions, conferences and screenings at over 23 project spaces, galleries and art venues throughout the city.

I found some time to visit one of those project spaces today, the PLATOON KUNSTHALLE, an art gallery constructed of 34 standard shipping containers. Inside, visitors had the opportunity to be creative, whether during a Mochimochi Monster Knitting live workshop or with chalk lying all around the place.

Peter Pink’s Potato Flashmob

Flash mobs are pretty popular in Berlin and every time, they get stranger. Peter Pink, an artist living in Berlin, organized a potato-flash-mob in front of a Mc Donald’s branch in Berlin Neukölln.

People were asked to make their own Potatoes (download the images for pink glasses, arms, signs and building instructions) and to set them free on the sidewalk in front of Mc Donalds.

Berlin Street Art – Urban Jungle


This amazing Street Art can be found beside a playground near the Maybachufer in Berlin’s district Neukölln. The wall painting was designed by children from the neighborhood and painted by the artists H.A.v. Bias, Statz and Dixo, because a big gray wall wasn’t really suitable for a playground.
