Thor – The Dark Kingdom German Premiere Berlin

The cast from Marvel’s upcoming superhero movie, Thor – The Dark Kingdom (Thor: The Dark World) is on its way around the world and today’s stop was the Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) together with Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) and director Alan Taylor (who also directed the Game of Thrones TV series) walked the carpet.

Hundreds of fans waited up to 24 hours to get an autograph or even a picture with one of their beloved actors. The event was live-streamed on different websites and also in selected cinemas throughout Germany.

Katy Perry Killer Queen Perfume Launch Berlin

Katy Perry visited Berlin today to promote the German launch of her new perfume Killer Queen, at the Douglas Store, Tauentzienstraße 16 at Berlin’s famous Kurfürstendamm.

The new fragrance was created by the American recording artist herself and Coty Inc, a french beauty products manufacturer and follows her first two fragrances Purr and Meow!

Oberbaum Bridge “Water” Fight 2013

Every year since the beginning of time (1998), the two Berlin districts Friedrichshain (fhain) and Kreuzberg (xberg) fight an anarchic battle right in the middle of Berlin’s Oberbaum Bridge, for the title, King of the Bridge.

The Bridge, considered as one of Berlin’s landmarks, links the two districts above the Spree and separated East and West during the GDR times.

To win, you need to push you opponent back to its district and in 2013, Friedrichshain clearly dominated the fight.

GamesCom 2013

Gamescom 2013 is over and after a wonderful week in Cologne, I’m back in Berlin.

This year, over 340,000 gamers, trade visitors and journalists visited the largest computer and video games trade fair worldwide. Over 635 exhibitors from 40 countries presented 400 world premiers, including for the first time in history two new consoles – PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

And don’t let the pictures below fool you, the only day it was “empty” was on press-day, the picture above pretty much tells you everything.
